The story was decent, but the acting (possibly the directing) was awful. The sound effects in the beginning made a very serious scene laughable. In my many years of watching Indian Cinema I haven't witnessed a film of this poor quality since the 90s early 00s.

Excellent movie i have ever seen. Awesome acting of all the actors specially i would mention vidya balan, again she proved that she is now the best actress of indian cinema.

Though it is definitely better than its Bengali predecessor ,begum jaan has some loopholes.yet its a compelling movie with terrific acting
