The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of William "Bill" S. Preston, Esq. (Alex Winter) and Theodore "Ted" Logan (Keanu Reeves). Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends — to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.

This is the film they we needed this year. It's sweet, fun, and subversively smart. In a time when our country is so divided, this is a reminder that bitterness and old modes of thinking get us nowhere. Instead, we need to listen to hopeful, younger people and help them build the future that they want. As a huge fan of the first films, I was excited for this to finally be released and, though it's not a masterpiece, it's the right film at the right time.

Is this going to be the greatest movie of 2020, probably not. HOWEVER, if you are looking for just a dumb fun movie that tugs at your nostalgia you could do worse. I normally rate almost everything adequate 3/5 as everything in the middle should be so this is above average. I feel they could of fine a lot more to make this movie perfect and wish they would of done more to honor the legend that is George Carlin but I'm still glad the movie got made because it not existing would be most heinous.
