Acerca de esta película

From visionary filmmaker Spike Lee comes the incredible true story of an American hero. In the early 1970s, Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) becomes the first African-American detective in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Determined to make a difference, he bravely sets out on a dangerous mission: infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan. He recruits a seasoned colleague, Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver), into the undercover investigation. Together, they team up to take down the extremist organization aiming to garner mainstream appeal. Produced by the team behind the Academy Award®–winning Get Out, BlacKkKlansman offers an unflinching, true-life examination of race relations in 1970s America that is just as relevant in today's tumultuous world.

Such a great movie. I remember I had rushed out to see it when it first came out because it was creating a stir and wasn't going to last long at the theaters. It brings up a lot of behaviors that white america is blind to experiencing what blacks go through. I appreciate that the plot follows smoothly through the action sequence and events, music was superb and helped generate the atmosphere of the culture of the movies time period. With everything that happened in 2020 with the push for equality, it's the perfect movie to rewatch to remember we still have a lot to work through, even though some areas of America may be more progressive than others, it isn't equal yet amongst all people of all colors.

It was pretty dumb overall. Many of the scenes were out of place. It looked like it was put together by a bunch of cinema students. It lacked continuity. The movie portrayed the current administration as KKK members and there being some kind of 50 year master plan to put a member of the KKK. The movie tried to refer to the KKK as some clandestine "organization" which they dont talk about yet they advertised in the newspaper as the KKK. More continuity issues. Characters were weak across the board. For someone who has been making movies for so many years Spike has learned very little it would appear.

well-acted, with funny moments and intense drama, based on a true story with startling parallels to the present day. there are hella racists on here giving 1-star reviews because they don't want to admit that real life (both in the 70s and now) is dumber, more racist, and more uncomfortable for white people than fiction.
