In an unlikely twist she finds herself pregnant, but with one hitch…she can only be fifty percent sure of the identity of her baby's father. The much-anticipated third installment of the “Bridget Jones's” franchise welcomes fellow Academy Award® winner Emma Thompson to the cast. Longtime collaborators Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title Films produce alongside Debra Hayward. Universal Pictures will distribute “Bridget Jones's Baby” in North America and select international territories.

Repetitious of Past Films I had high hopes for the third installment of the Bridget Jones series. Unfortunately, it sank below my expectations because of its lack of comedic moments and circular plot. I comprehended how the novels were essentially based on Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen but disagreed on the continuation of Darcy's fight with another man over Jones. I craved for a new direction for the protagonist! Also, I was disconcerted over Jones's weight loss. I think that it caused Jones to become more mainstream and less relatable as a character.

It was better than I thought it would be. Not just fan service. It picks up in the middle. Colin Firth gives a poignant and stoically emotional performance. Renee's Bridget shows growth and maturity in places Bridget did not possess 10 years ago. I'm sad they couldn't handle a notably aged Hugh Grant enough to bring him back.

Never new about any of the previous movies. The commercial I saw made it seem like a cute light hearted comedy. It was more like swimming in a sewer to me. Couldn't get through the first 20 without feeling like I needed a shower they talked about sex so much... I was disappointed...
