I saw this when I was living in Europe. I don't think it was the edited version. When it came to the scene where the cannibals rip the turtle apart I shut it off. This is trash. DON'T WATCH THIS MOVIE. It will damage your soul. It may induce traumatic stress on the pure hearted. If you get off on watching defenseless animals die you're on par with child molesters. This is not a horror movie and it's not art. This is snuff. Don't give your money to support this type of garbage.

While some of the acting in this film is subpar, this is a great film. While some may say it's overhyped, I find it deserves most of its praise. It pioneered found footage, and (controversially, not to be repeated) killed animals. But it did craft a film about the blurring the lines between abhorrence and glorification of violence, as well as looking at concepts of morality. Beautifully scored and wonderfully shot. Watch at least once.

I've heard quite a few terrors of this movie but i didn't expect any of this. this movie i had to pause like 10 times to go and throw up because of the gore and psychological terror it did to your mind. x.x this movie shouldn't be RATED-R it should be at least Rated-X or Rated-A for the more adult levels because of its Gore,Butchery and animal killing and also the realistic human murders. and other elements that are unspeakable.
