I hate this movie so much! I only like Miguel & the dog on here but the reason why i hate this movie is bcuz the songs are horrible (especially the one at the end). Not to mention that Miguel's family banned music & Miguel turns to deadly person?! The grandma dies which is very sad! & now i definitely feel bad for putting ten thumbs down to this movie…i cannot believe that it was released the same year as Olaf's Frozen Adventure!

Kids liked it alright. We all thought it would be better given the pedigree of the studio. The voice acting was only ok. The plot was less interesting than you'd think given a summary. The twist near the end is a nice spot in an otherwise bland experience. The music was well done and the visuals were too tier as usual but the movie was missing feeling. It felt hollow. Wall e makes you feel for a robot, up makes you feel for an old man, the incredibles is just fun and toy story makes you feel bad about chucking your childhood toys. This makes you feel nothing. Still ok for a rainy day or to show off your new TV.

Good writing, alright character design (Book of Life did the skeleton eyes way better), great music, fantastic animation, and absolutely gorgeous sets. My biggest issue is how predictable it is. Based solely on how heavily featured a certain character is on posters and in official art, I was able to understand the main twist maybe ten minutes into the movie. Other than that, it's so very touching, and a visual marvel.
