Información de esta película

Academy Ward, Emmy Award and Golden Globe-winner Whoopi Goldberg ("Ghost," "The Color Purple," "Sister Act") and Emmy Award and Golden Globe-nominee Ray Liotta ("TV's "ER," "Something Wild") star in this heartwarming story about a family devastated by grief and the woman who helps heal the loss. Manny Singer (Liotta) hires African American Corrina Washington (Goldberg) to work as maid and nanny after the death of his wife. As the talented and intelligent Corrina helps Singer's daughter (Tina Majorino -- "Napoleon Dynamite," "When a Man Loves a Woman") cope with the loss of her mother--and Singer discovers Corrina's intelligence--a relationship develops between them, growing from respect, to affection... to love. But Manny and Corrina live in the United States in 1959, and the racism that prevents Corrina from working as more than a maid threatens to tear the two apart.

I just absolutely love, love this movie. This is by far one of my favorite movies, next to Claire's Heart, the Color Purple.. Oh and Made in America ok..lol I so love the background of the movie. Its funny, sad and shows that one person can change the heart of any going through a lot.

A movie I saw in childhood. But when I saw it again I had an even greater appreciation for this movie. A remake with a little more struggle would be a box office hit.
