Acerca de esta película

Two icons of children's television are pitted against one another in this satirical dark comedy! Rainbow Randolph (Oscar-winner Robin Williams "A.I.," "Bicentennial Man"), the corrupt, costumed star of a popular children's TV show, is fired over a bribery scandal and replaced by squeaky-clean Smoochy (Oscar-nominated Edward Norton "The Score," "Fight Club"). As Smoochy catapults into fame, and scores the affections of a jaded network executive (Oscar-nominated Catherine Keener "Being John Malkovich," "Out of Sight"), he becomes the unsuspecting target of Randolph and his numerous and outrageous attempts to exact revenge and reclaim his status as America's sweetheart! Starring Oscar-nominated Danny DeVito ("Heist," "L.A. Confidential"), who also directed, Emmy-winner Jon Stewart (TV's "The Daily Show") and Emmy-nominated Harvey Fierstein (TV's "Double Platinum," "Independence Day"). MPAA Rating: R © 2002 Warner Bros. One of my favorite movies of all time. Really well written and you can tell that it allowed Robin Williams to go off on his own improv.

One of the best fucking movies ever, where can you go wrong with a purple rhino who sings uplifting cheerful songs of reforming habits to smackheads on Coney Island. Kid show sensation? I think so! Come and join in the fun whether you're a recovering addict or a toddler, not since Shakes the Clown has there been such a silent riot over fun time for all ages.

Such an underrated movie. The satire is excellent, the acting is spot on, story is a bit of what i call a 'hollywood ad-lib' but the dark comedic twist makes up for it. Danny devito, robin Williams and ed norton. If you understand the bad side of all these kids shows, watch barney the dinosaur do to blows with peewee herman (names have been changed to avoid the obvious, i mean protect the innocent.....)
