Meh... it fails miserably as a sequel to the Stanley Kubrick masterpiece. The "energy vampires" are lame and seemingly have a sole purpose in the film as a motivator to get Danny Torrence to return back to the hotel and even worse, the ending of the movie is revealed halfway through the film (hospice room seen) and it really robs you of any intrigue you might have for the story/charature development. Not a terrible movie but i just expect more from a supernatural thriller

It's okay... Probably not the sequel some were hoping for. The thing is, even though it isn't bad there's nothing outstanding about it. Only two moments got a reaction out of me, when Danny returns to the hotel (I smiled due to nostalgia) and when that baseball boy was being killed, that was terrifying and the most terrifying part of the movie. Other than that, nothing exciting happens.

I didn't like it. The production values were high but I didn't care for the stupid "Mighty Morphine Power Rangers" of evil. I didn't like the way they killed kids either. I'm not a softy I just thought that added nothing of substance to the film. The movie should have been more of a creepy psychological movie of overcoming mental breakdown rather than a horror X-Men movie. This movie was just too "Hollywood" for me. It is has nothing I. Common with the original in my opinion.
