This delightfully fun and lighthearted comedy is based on Jane Austen's classic novel. So when Emma tries to find a man for Harriet, she makes a hilariously tangled mess of everyone's lives. Get lost in the bygone romance of Emma. Both remakes of Emma are great and it is difficult to say which is better, however, the performances and imagery of this "feel good" film are unsurpassed. The actors are all superb. There is a surprisingly good duet by the talented Gweneth Paltrow and Ewan McGregor. Jeremy Northam can act in any role and his portrayal of Mr. Knightly was extremely good. This is timeless classic film and well worth the extra dollar to see it in HD!

Love this version! I am not a fan of Gweneth Paltrow, but she was excellent in this film as were her co-stars. Very well done.

I adore Jane's books and always like to see another person who reveals it an different way of a sorts. As long as one stays true to the Majority of these books it's worth seeing it again and again.
