Acerca de esta película

In this gripping and emotional sci-fi romance from acclaimed director Drake Doremus (Like Crazy), Kristen Stewart and Nicholas Hoult play Nia and Silas, two people who work together in a futuristic society known as “The Collective." A seemingly utopian world, "The Collective" has ended crime and violence by genetically eliminating all human emotions. Despite this, Nia and Silas can’t help noticing a growing attraction between them, leading them to a forbidden relationship—at first tentative, but then exploding into a passionate romance. As suspicion begins to mount among their superiors, the couple will be forced to choose between going back to the safety of the lives they have always known, or risk it all to try and pull off a daring escape.

This was the ideal role for Kristen Stewart, an empty shell of a person with no signs of emotion, depth, or character ... It's like Johansen playing Lucy, where a lead actress' lack of talent actually aided in the believability and plot development. The problem is the struggle to attain emotion is as painful as watching Bella Swan transition to a Vampire, and the moments of emotion displayed by Stewart border on the moments in her previous roles where she was trying to actually act like a human being.

Regardless of the film's execution, which itself felt like a bad hodgepodged remake of various better films, there is something inherently disingenuous about telling the story of outlawed love with a white, hetero couple. In a world where interracial love and same-sex love actually have been outlawed at different times, trying to make an audience care about these two and their "forbidden romance" just falls completely flat. I love both Hoult and Stewart, but I'm disappointed in them for participating in this farce.

Kind of lame. They took Equalibruim starting Christain Bale, removed all of the action scenes and focused entirely on the love between the two main characters. It's an entire movie of two people being in love with Equalibruim going on in the background.
