In 1975, logger Travis Walton (D.B. Sweeney) and his co-workers discovered a hovering UFO. Walton's pals fled, but Walton was not so fortunate. Whisked aboard the strange craft, he was subjected to a painful, unearthly medical study.

But it's good for what it is and the horror is a total horror. It made me wonder about scientific experiments on animals. The aliens had no apparent compassion or concern for the suffering and terror experienced by an uncomprehending yet sentient human in pursuit of their goals. Any experiments humans perform on sentient beings (probably anything with a CNS and brain & without question any mammal) should never cause physical or mental suffering & be 100% transparent to the public.

I've been searching for the book for years, still haven't found it. This is truly a great movie. The search continues for the book. I know I'll find it, seen it at a local swap-meet just before closing. Didn't get to it fast enough. ...
