Footloose jumps with spirit, dazzling dance numbers and an electrifying musical score. Ren revolts with best friend Willard (Chris Penn) and the minister's daughter (Lori Singer). No real reason I love this movie, it's just good to watch at anytime on any day and that's what makes it a truly great movie. Plus one of the best soundtracks ever.

I've seen this movie countless times growing up and continue to watch it! I love this movie, because it has a great message and of course great dancing. It taught me to fight for what was right and what I wanted as a kid and I can only hope that movies will be half as good as these old ones one day.

I don't see why film critics, especially Rotten Tomatoes, don't like this movie. Although, the minister played by John Lithgow was an easy-to-dislike character. Still, it was great with Kevin Bacon being the hero, and with the songs, "Holding Out for a Hero" and "Footloose."
