Acerca de esta película

Why was Elsa born with magical powers? What truths about the past await Elsa as she ventures into the unknown to the enchanted forests and dark seas beyond Arendelle? The answers are calling her but also threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll face a dangerous but remarkable journey. In Frozen, Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In Frozen II, she must hope they are enough.

Things begin with an interesting mystery that transforms throughout the movie as the plot unfolds, hearkening back to the original's structure while presenting it in new ways. Changing antagonists and intangible threats are abound which keeps adults interested and deepens the experience for kids. This sequel feels bigger too, with the fate of spirits and multiple cultures at stake this time, yet it doesn't lose touch with its enlarged cast of characters... except for Kristoff who is poorly sidelined. The visuals are (of course) stunning and are distinct from the original, creating a flavor of their own. For example, Elsa crossing the Dark Sea is a stark and beautiful scene that to me stands out from any other Disney film. The songs are all enjoyable but waver in impact (Olaf's and Kristoff's songs feel out of place with the rest of the film for certain), but the scoring and music overall is superb. And IMO "Into the Unknown" is ingeniously composed. It has a few rough moments, but comes out as a faithful yet differentiated sequel that brings closure to the two sisters while treating us to more of their magical world.

Usually when a great movie is created, it's sequel is sometimes always a letdown. Unlike the first film, Frozen 2 has a more darker story and also involves the use of 'spirits'. The plot and the characters were pretty bland in this squeal. Frozen 2 also doesn't take advantage of Elsa's character as well as her roll. Instead, she has to be saved by Anna again in order to not die.

Wow. I did not listen to the silly banter of the adult reviews for the first movie and did not let the negative ones of this one stop me either. Both my daughter and I loved this movie just as much as we did the first one. I believe it was a beautiful sequel to the first one and I enjoyed the musical theme this round. My daughter and I watched it three times and it was wonderful every time. Disney did a outstanding job showing the growth of the characters since the first movie. The songs were a little disappointing compared to the first since they had the feel of rushed or low budgeted. Still, they encouraged my little one to sing and learn. The best song being Olafs understanding that a child's fear may be eliminated when he is older and wiser. A great Disney story to help this parent provide a visual to the difficult questions about the changes that happen in life. I believe the movie followed my child perfectly since she was young for the first and now moving into the tougher years of puberty can relate to the change of the characters magical world. Give it a try and if all else fails you can join the other negative reviews that fail to remember it is just a movie.
