April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

They use real ww2 tanks, so I had my hopes up. Throughout the movie they did ride every stereotype which was slightly annoying. But the ending ruined it completely. It was so unrealistic that it became comical but it tried to come across as historical. Hundreds of German highly experienced Waffen SS soldiers (that were not too badly equiped) acting like total noobs, just running into the fire line of the American machine guns. Any somewhat trained infantry would have taken that tank out within a minute...

A stunning and jaw dropping film about the horrors of war. it may seem a little light hearted at moments but the film immediately forces you right back into the fray. my favorite part about the film is the effects, from the way fire latches onto bodies, how blood and gore just flowers in all directions, and how even corpses look real. the only real problem I have is character development, there isn't a whole lot to go around. the characters never real go into their past and when they do it's very brief, other things aren't really explained; like how "red" died, why Grady is such a d*ck all the time, why bible is so religous, how Wardaddy got PTSD, and why Norman was thrust into the the armored division instead of general infantry. one of the most forgettable characters is probably Gordo. nothing really interesting happens with him and not a lot makes him stand out. though the characters are lacking somewhat, it is still a great film that anyone who loves studying WW2 will love.

Yes, amazing company to say this is the Best War Movie, Go to freaking Afghanistan and film these guys doing what is called, "muscle memory". You train yourself so much in what you do, it becomes Natural and you do not have to think, your reactions take over and that's memory. I Salute OUR men and women soldiers. I am amazed at their resilience, their determination and the ability to push their bodies farther than they knew it could withstand. My uncle is a WWII Veteran of the Battle of the Bulge. LoveE
