Phillip Goodman, professor of psychology, arch-skeptic, the one-man ‘belief buster’ – has his rationality tested to the hilt when he receives a letter apparently from beyond the grave. His mentor Charles Cameron, the ‘original’ TV parapsychologist went missing fifteen years before, presumed dead and yet now he writes to Goodman saying that the pair must meet. Cameron, it seems, is still very much alive. And he needs Goodman to find a rational explanation for three stories that have shaken Cameron to his core. As Goodman investigates, he meets three haunted people, each with a tale more frightening, uncanny and inexplicable than the last.

Calificaciones y opiniones

(There is a small spoiler in this review - read with care - I've labelled it though) The movie is interesting MOST of the way through but then ending feels like lazy writing to me. Let me put it this way: if my kids wrote a story for school and ended it like "Ghost Stories" did, they would have been given an F regardless of how good the rest was. Feels like the producers ran out of cash and just decided to wrap it up quickly and cheaply. You get to the end and think "Wow! that's 90 minutes of my life I'd like back!" which is a shame because it's pretty interesting up until then. (Spoiler here) Maybe turn it off when Goodman goes back to the caravan and leave the rest to your own imagination.

More.like a 3.5 to be fair. I felt like the movie was well done, great storyline and they build up tension really well which makes a change from your typical jump scare film. However the twist wasn't to my taste and I feel it ruined most of the film. I had to Google what on earth happened after the film and for that reason I'm going to give it a second watch. Turns out it's very clever! Will write revised review when i give it a second watch

Great potential and some great actors but the reveal was underwhelming. Would've been vastly improved if they'd had a good actor in the lead role instead of the writer. He was daytime TV quality.
