Unimpressive SF/fantasy/horror. Most of what's going on in this movie is left unsaid and unshown, but that's because any explanation for it would just sound goofy. SPOILERS Gilgamesh imprisons Inanna in a dog cage and padlock for 1650 or so years. I didn't know that 21st-century pet store dog cages were even available during the fall of the Roman Empire. But, um, couldn't he have come up with something more secure? He kinda had time for it. Inanna summons a meteor (how? why doesn't she mention doing so?) that hangs in the sky for months without changing apparent size (incidentally that makes it a moon, in a stable orbit, but presumably Inanna can send it crashing down by the same thing that let her summon it.) And how does a meteor in a stable orbit make a climate-destroying cloud cover, anyways? Meteor *strikes* will do that because they hurl megatons of dust into the atmosphere. But if the meteor hasn't hit yet, no dust storm. Anyways, this movie got me firmly into SF mode, with the pretentious blithering intro and such, and it's crap SF. Also crap fantasy. It holds up a bit better as horror.
