Didn't disappoint. Which would be alot to ask for in this case. Seems like we've been building up an emotional callus to all the CGI characters over the years that haven't even been able to measure upto The Brave Little Toaster, or even The Land Before Time. Kong & Godzilla are both reintroduced as both believable & far more rounded characters that aren't depowered just because it's a convenient time for a climax in the script. Well Done in an age where the Bar has been set @ Ghostbusters.

There was a lot going on in this movie & Godzilla wasn't in as many scenes as I'd expected. But he sort of makes up for it in the end. I like how king Kong communicated. And was part of his weapon one of godzilla's spikes? I liked the snake -like creatures with wings, but obviously king Kong didn't feel the same way. Besides the creatures, there was a lot of cyber technology & cyber traveling machines. The graphics were neat, just sort of out of place for a monster movie.

Rating basically for the epic battles in this movie, great special effects that blend perfectly with the environment accompanied by immersive sounds to rumble your speakers. Kudos to all those responsible for that. On the other hand, this movie does a poor job of character personalization and story plot. Had a lot of fake smiles and poor dialogues, did a poor job of making you feel for any character's situation and wanting more from them. Would recommend this for the epic battles but not story.
