Información de esta película

From Academy Award®-nominated director Lasse Hallström (2000, The Cider House Rules) comes HACHI: A DOG'S TALE, a film based on one of the most treasured and heartwarming true stories ever told. Golden Globe winner Richard Gere (2002, Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy, Chicago) stars as Professor Parker Wilson, a distinguished scholar who discovers a lost Akita puppy on his way home from work. Despite initial objections from Wilson's wife, Cate (Academy Award® nominee Joan Allen -- 2000, Best Actress, The Contender), Hachi endears himself into the Wilson family and grows to be Parker's loyal companion. As their bond grows deeper, a beautiful relationship unfolds embodying the true spirit of family and loyalty, while inspiring the hearts of an entire town. © 2008 Hachiko, LLC. All Rights Reserved.

If there is another Richard Gere film better than Hachi, I haven't seen it. He has starred in some of my favorite movies including An Officer and a Gentleman, Primal Fear, and Unfaithful. Here he gives up the spotlight to a most lovable canine and helps bring to life this touching and timeless true story of friendship.

Loyalty is amongst that of all of the best of character between all species, whether this man, this dog, or that of the tiniest creature. The timeline of the script accentuates the relationships depicted in this film that spark that of the genuine, the authentic and the divine. Cherished is the love and gratitude and devotion countered by just a tad of perhaps healthy possessiveness and distance as the friends and daughter of the professor puts it to Hachiko, "you have to do what you have to do...." to grieve....to reunite. See this true tale, this true spirit.
