Amateur stuntman Rod Kimble (ANDY SAMBERG) has a problem - his step-father Frank (IAN MCSHANE) is a jerk. Frank picks on Rod, tosses him around like a rag doll in their weekly sparring sessions, and definitely doesn't respect him, much less his stunts.

I'm writing this because the tomatometer thing surprised me. I own and have watched this movie countless times, it's the silly type of humor that's non- stop quotable, with an equally silly soundtrack that you can't help but rock out to. I mean, even for a comedy, this movie does not take itself seriously in even the remotest way, and if you're looking for some sort of mind-blowing, out-of-body experience you better keep looking, but you're missing out.

Hot Rod is a likeable comedy about an underdog overcoming their limitations, but done in a far more creative way. I don't know if I would call this a hilarious film, but it's definitely got just the right combination of charm, heart, and trashiness that will likely keep a smile on your face between chuckles. FYI, other than some language and fighting, this comedy is pretty clean to be enjoyed by most people (no nudity, gross stuff, or sexual content).

One of the best comedies ever made. And one of the few that get better with repeated watchings. I can't begin to tell you how many times I watched it in a short space of time. I just kept wanting to put thid back on. Something might be wrong with me. I don't say this easily or often...but this movie is so incredibly good!
