This movie is atrocious. I simply can't believe Yen agreed to this. He should be ignored after this debacle. Is this really how Hong Kongers think of the U.S.? What an absolutely terrible and disorganized movie. I get that Ip Man was a real guy and this was his life but they really needed to stop at 3. Is Ip Man 5 going to be about how he beats up a bunch of racists in a retirement facility as he watches Fox News and eats Jello? Let's go find another martial artist instead of scraping the bottom of the Ip Man barrel.

Great action as always, however the secondary plot of the film have a lot happening but not much to say. It felt like halfway through the production someone upstairs decided to inject another plot that counters the main narrative. The theme of the film was supposed to be Ip Man passing down his legacy to Bruce Lee and expand Chinese martial arts overseas. However, the overall unredeemable racism of the secondary characters ruined the primary message.

Ive been a fan of the arts for a long time and as for the racism not sure why people are trying to hide fron the facts. If it is true who cares and since ut is true these are facts about ip man and bruce Lee's life. Never hear anyone scream racism when i saw chineese connection, fist of fury was also about ip man from Bruce Lee's prospective oh but tgat was the prejudiceof tge Japanese vs a Chinese (which was fuelled by English rule).
