Fans of the previous Ip Man movies may be sad that Donnie Yen is not continuing in the title role, but actor Anthony Wong Chau-Sang gives a steady performance of the mature martial arts master. The pace is slower, with plenty of voice overs to fill in the narrative gaps and give audiences historical context. As for dialogue, well,... it's a martial arts movie... You'll probably guess what someone will say before they do. Overall, enjoyable performances and a great story. Photography is generally excellent.

Ip Man is proof that when you see an old man you never really know whom or what your looking at. Definitely got choked up when they showed the old footage of IP Man practising on the wooden horse. No IP Man, no Bruce Lee. No Bruce Lee, no Chuck Norris.

The first IP man was quite real. The second one was great, but the last one seems to me unreal. However, this movie has a lot of moves. Exciting
