The story line here is weaker than a diluted Bud and the action is very lame. "John" spends most of his time shooting his enemies from close range, as his enemies seem to have forgotten that guns are ranged weapons. This was especially lame in the open ancient ruins scene in Rome, with the camera pointed at "John" and only a few metres in front of him, his countless enemies had to run into the cameras view before he could shot them. Just ridiculous action, plot, directing and production. P.S. I did enjoy the first in the series.

What a stinker, 5 minutes in and I already want my money back. I really don't know what they were thinking... Terrible CGI, that is that bad I don't know why they even included it. Different actor playing the Russian crime boss (update, sorry didn't realise the actor had passed away RIP).... the entire thing is just a dogs breakfast. I really liked the first one, so very disappointing.. $7 down the drain.

The tldr version is; don't bother, I did and I wish I didn't. The action is... somewhat interesting and there is a good cast, but there are too many other issues. I kinda liked the first one, story was enough to get through the film and there was an immediacy to the film that made it interesting, tense. This film is more of a video game, how many bad guys can be eliminated in a scene/stage. People will like it, I am sure and I have no problem with that, it was made for them. I can't figure out what the issue is because I like a lot of fantasy/comic action (Marvel) but there was something missing for me. Apart from it not being what like it was a well made film, it just missed something for me. If you read this far and are still interested maybe have a look and see what you think.
