Overall an entertaining fantasy film. Most of the cast are compelling enough for an action movie. The CGI is a bit overkill, but hardly unexpected considering the genre. The film is family friendly, and if someone wants authentic darkness - grab a comic book instead. Graphic novels are just different...I can't understand how people could rate this as one star.

This bland, shallow film has nothing to say for itself. It has no passion and has no single direction. The villain seems lifeless and the cast appear dead as if there was no hard work put into this abomination. The plot was generic and the score was no near as good as Zimmer's and Junkie's score from Man of Steel and BvS. Also, the visuals and cinematography were so bad. It looks like it is from 15 years ago and that is such a shame as they had a 300 million dollar budget with this film.

DC rushed this film because they wanted their own 'Avengers' movie so that they could build their own DC universe much like the MCU. However because of that the whole film is rushed, each of these characters should've had their own origin movies before this. Each character is given too little time to develop, and some of them are flat out boring and add nothing to the plot. Stephen Wolf was also an extremely clichéd and generic villain, he doesn't really pose any interesting threat because his motives are so incoherent and unclear, so as to be basically nonexistent. Overall, this is not a good film, the characters are poorly developed and the plot is generic and uninteresting, much like the villian.
