Acerca de esta película

This thrilling animated sequel to Justice League: War dives deep into the fascinating origins of one of the Justice League's most enigmatic heroes: Aquaman. Young Arthur Curry has no idea that he is heir to the throne of the kingdom of Atlantis. Right now, he's a lost and confused outsider just trying to cope with the death of his human father. When he learns of his true aquatic heritage, Arthur has some tough choices to make. But he doesn't have long to find his path in life: the Atlanteans are about to escalate a war with the surface world -- and only by joining with the mighty Justice League can Arthur help avert global disaster and finally embrace his destiny as Aquaman.

Overall: I wouldn't watch it again; it had none of the gravitas of its source material and felt like a flat action movie. And, even as an action move, it was less dimensional than Justice League: War. In War, characters overcame differences and worked together, both in and out of combat. I was pleased when they teased the lack of a coherent team, which fits with the mood began in War but that story line never develops. The dialogue treats the audience as if we are incapable of understanding subtext, as evident through Manta's monologue about inciting war in the first place. Things I liked: Hungover Aquaman, "Outrageous", Flash and Green Lantern's relationship

DC is getting better and better with their animated films (I won't comment on live action). I didn't even finish this yet... am about 75% done and couldn't wait to review it. If you enjoy Flashpoint and Red Hood... the grittier more adult themed films. You will love this Aquaman origin story. He is actually incredibly likeable and an everyman here... unlike so many of the other versions of him (a bit of a dick)... If you came here debating whether or not to rent or buy this, do yourself a favor. Watch it

The Aqua-Man story. Love the beginning which started out examining the characters after WAR. Seemed to go off the rails trying to tie up the story. I know it's based off a DC story from new 52 but only takes the basis and takes licence from there. Might have been better as two separate pieces or made a bit longer than 72 min. To flesh out the ending and resolution again. Still I like the direction DC animation is taking. Hope live action pics are as careful to honor the Justice League team origin.
