Acerca de esta película

Betzabé Garcia’s hauntingly beautiful documentary, nominated for the “Best Debut Film” Cinema Eye Award, follows three families living in San Marcos, a Mexican ghost town partially submerged by water in Northwestern Mexico. Pani and Paula do not want to close their tortillería and spend their spare time rescuing the town from ruins; Miro and his parents dream of leaving but can't; Yoya and Jaimito live in fear but have everything they need.

This film moves at the pace of Mexico, very slowly; this pace, however, is the only way to get the feeling of what it must be like to live in such a place. In addition, there are some truly magical moments worth waiting for! I've lived in Mexico and travelled through it for most of my life and I felt right at home with this film. The Mexican people are so lovable, unflappable and enigmatic! Thanks for a beautifully mysterious experience.

Not my type of movie but if it's your type of movie, then you may like it, but personally I didn't like it, but you may like it. All I'm saying is that if you like the movie and the topics in the movie, then you may like it, and if you don't, then you will not like it. I didn't like it, becuase I didn't like the topics and subjects discussed in this movie. That's just me though. If you like the subjects in this movie, then you may of course like this movie. But if you don't, then you won't like it.
