The magical kingdom of Lucis is home to the sacred Crystal, and the menacing empire of Niflheim is determined to steal it. King Regis of Lucis (Sean Bean) commands an elite force of soldiers called the Kingsglaive. Wielding their king’s magic, Nyx (Aaron Paul) and his fellow soldiers fight to protect Lucis. As the overwhelming military might of the empire bears down, King Regis is faced with an impossible ultimatum – to marry his son, Prince Noctis to Princess Lunafreya of Tenebrae (Lena Headey), captive of Niflheim, and surrender his lands to the empire’s rule. Although the king concedes, it becomes clear that the empire will stop at nothing to achieve their devious goals, with only the Kingsglaive standing between them and world domination.

Excellent animation and action sequences! And I wanted to like this movie, but the last 25 to 30 mins are really annoying. It seems to be trying to create intense emotion, but just falls over... For example two of the main characters are being chased over the roof tops of the city, but even though they are in great danger they stop to have a deep discussion about how one of them couldn't save his sister when he was younger!

Finally Fantasy 15 has a massive and twisted narrative that demands investment. Kingsglaive is an essential watch for fans and a essential part of that legacy. Like many other epic stories you can either jump in and be transfixed by its details or simply overwhelmed by them. But for me it's a wonderful startpoint

I really enjoyed it, now i'm so hyped for the game! which my computer won't be able to run hahaha. The story is amazing. Although some scenes would have benefitted from a bit more thought and refinement, everything else is so good that whatever pitfalls it does have pales in comparison. definitely pick it up if you're a FF fan
