Acerca de esta película

Based upon the acclaimed comic book and directed by Matthew Vaughn (Kick Ass, X-Men First Class), the film tells the story of a suave, old-school British superspy who recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into his agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as a global threat emerges from a twisted American entrepreneur.

Poorly executed. Far too violent for a concept that had the potential to be fun. Picks up a bit to the end but it's being made for 12-16 year old working class kids with a chip on their shoulder and struggles towards the ranks of mildly entertaining because of it. If my interest was to help underprivileged British kids get a leg up in life this not something I would offer them. Caine & Jackson are obviously not getting many job offers these days. Wish I could get my money back.

How is it so hard to write believable, three dimensional characters? The novelty of the setup in this film is appealing, but in the end, the characters are so comically exaggerated and pantomime that you are neither invested in the success of the hero nor the death of the villain, and it just feels like you are running through an action movie formula to pass the time. All the effort has been put into creating unique scenarios and action sequences, but because the characters are unbelievable, it's hard to care what happens.

Seems like a bit of Tory wish fulfillment really, bunch of suit and booted Eton types giving the boot to a crazy "liberal". It's just a bit of daft fun with brilliant action sequences that becomes unbelievably dull once the main kid takes over. Firth is far more entertaining compared. and responsible for the best bits throughout. In short, has its moments, but fluffs the ending
