Mitch, a bawdy former surgeon, convinces mild‐mannered Colin, his ex‐brother‐in‐law, to embark on an unplanned trip to Iceland with him. In an effort to get their grooves back, the odd couple set off on a road trip that takes them through trendy Reykjavík to the rugged outback. Mitch and Colin’s picaresque adventures through Iceland evolve into a candid exploration of aging, loneliness and friendship.

I like to read the thumbs down critiques first. The things that the unsatisfied gleaned not from this film, is the deep friendship that goes into the volcano to rescue another and insists that everything will be okay… at least on this trip. Do you always need to learn something from a chalkboard or an easel? This is an experiential orgasm because the one who professed that he wouldn't go, later, did not want to leave. When the brilliant music started at the credits, I didn't either.

A slow meandering stream of Icelandic scenery with some catchy tunes and not much else going on.

This is unlike any film we have seen and we thought it was a heartening and entertaining way to spend some time. Highly recommended.
