Acerca de esta película

An alien race, undefeatable by any existing military unit, has launched a relentless attack on Earth, and Major William Cage (Tom Cruise) finds himself dropped into a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage is thrown into a time loop, forced to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again and again. Training alongside warrior Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt), his skills slowly evolve, and each battle moves them one step closer to defeating the enemy in this fun action thriller.

This A cast, A budget, A FX film starts and remains B. At the halfway point you might hope that there'll be an amazing twist, that you'll be excited. Instead you'll chuckle occasionally when Tom Cruise dies. A ropey plot is made worse by various compromises and as stated it never picks it's face out of the mud. Buy on sale to fill out your B Movie collection so you remember what bad films are like.

Like a good, well made song this has a lot of repeat value (pun intended). No heavy thinking about the movie required. Has action, love, sfx and Emily Blunt. Emily out shines Tom Cruise in many scenes, that is by design too. Bill Paxton's role for once was mature and great. A well edited, produced and directed film with music that hits the right notes. There is quality through out and a sense of the real. Plus as a bonus there is a slap stick element. I wasn't expected to enjoy this movie as much as I did and still do.

It's pretty cheesy. It's just a rehash of Source Code, but with less character development. Cruise yet again is just a guy strolling through the movie, there's no depth to his character. Just another cheesy action flick, but it has aliens in it so apparently it's sci-fi? Lol, no. The initial premise (see the better film Source Code) is interesting, but the final half hour got a bit crazy (and dull) with it.
