Comienza con Santa Faustina antes de que Cristo la llamara a la vida religiosa y la sigue, ya que no solo responde al llamado de Cristo, sino que recibe la imagen de la Divina Misericordia en una visión en 1931 en una pequeña ciudad en Polonia. La imagen no se convierte en una realidad tangible hasta años después, cuando su confesor convence a un artista local para pintar la imagen. Si bien Santa Faustina no viviría para ver al mundo venerar la imagen de la Divina Misericordia, su confesor buscó la aprobación del Vaticano y se encontró con muchos obstáculos. No fue hasta que el Papa Juan Pablo II se interesó en la imagen y la historia de Santa Faustina que la imagen se difundió por todo el mundo. Además, el análisis científico único que se muestra en "Amor y misericordia: Faustina" demuestra que Santa Faustina vio a Cristo en su visión.

Loved it, but not nearly as much as Jesus loves us. This film reveals what a personal relationship with Jesus means. He died for us out of love, so we must suffer and die to ourselves for him to show the authenticity of our love. Jesus desires that we live eternally with him and freely choose to be with him forever out of love for him. His mercy is a gift which we are free to accept or reject. I recommend this film to those who wish to better know Jesus as a real person and hopefully accept him in their hearts. Faustina renounces all the vain pleasures of this world early in the film to dedicate her life to Jesus and carry out his will with complete trust. Now she is eternally happy in the loving presence of Jesus with a joy that can never be experienced in this life. May this film inspire all viewers to be like her in how she personally relates to Jesus.

One very important thing I learned from this is that I am going to Hell. No question about it anymore. No need to pretend otherwise I reckon.

St Faustina shows us what it really means when we are told "With God, all things are possible"... And by our own efforts, nothing is possible.
