Outside Reno, Nevada inthe 1970s Grace and Charlie Bontempo (Helen Mirren and Joe Pesci) run a legitimate business. The brothel called the Love Ranch. Grace takes care of business , while Charlie, a man with big dreams, a felony record and an aptitude for spending and infidelity is the brothel's public face.Now Charlie thinks he has found his ticket to fame and fortune. He has taken on a new client, Argentinean boxer Armando Bruza (Sergio Peris-Mencheta) and plans to promote a fight with Muhammad Ali. Problem is Charlie has a record, leaving Grace to step up and take on the management role despite the fact she's just learned she has an advanced cancer.With tax problems and a hostile church group threatening their business Grace takes her new management role seriously.
