A perfect introduction to Captian America who has a wonderful origin story, set in the 1940s during WWII. I love history and this film is unique in being both a super hero movie and a historical fiction war film, but also has plenty of sci fi elements as well. Introduces the Tesseract.

Although this film is slightly on the slower side, it's still very good. Enough to earn 5 stars. A few of the GREAT characters are : STEVE ROGERS, ABRAHAM ERSKINE, HOWARD STARK, DUM DUM, DR. ZOLA, BUCKY BARNES & RED SKULL. Good music soundtrack. Good story. CHRIS EVANS, STANLEY TUCCI, DOMINIC COOPER (my favorite HOWARD STARK - I wish he played him in all the films) & TOBY JONES make this a great movie. HAYLEY ATWELL, HUGO WEAVING, TOMMY LEE JONES & SEBASTIAN STAN are all very good long live CAP!

If you're a comics fan, then you'll appreciate how they perfectly aced Captain America's character in this film. FIVE STARS for being faithful to the fan base - while making it fun for everyone else too!
