The acting is very good. They don't catch the killer, but the acting and direction is so good, you keep watching anyway because the film is mesmerizing and haunting. There are 2 cops who desperately attempt to frame innocent people and beat them up. You feel sad for the defenseless villagers, but the journalists expose the incompetent cops. The raw nature of the work makes the cops half crazy. Police work is like this everywhere. This director is brilliant.

WARNING: This film does deal with rape. Based off a real serial killer. Subject matter is quite dark. But the writing, direction and acting is excellent. Watch this is you love crime films.
