Ben Cahill is a handsome and confident attorney who lives in New Orleans with his beautiful wife Charlotte. After winning one of the biggest cases of his career, his boss, makes him a partner in the most prestigious law firm in New Orleans and hands him the lead on the firm's highest profile case against a corrupt pharmaceutical company.
Ben thinks he is on top of the world and nothing could go wrong. But when a mysterious ex-girlfriend from college, Emily, reappears unexpectedly in his life, things start to take a turn for the worst. When Emily is found dead in his bed, Ben quickly sees his life and career spiralling out-of-control as he is drawn into a sick and brutal murder case in which he is the main suspect. All the evidence points to him and there is no place to go.
