Gerry is a talented, but struggling poker player about to be swallowed up by his unshakeable gambling habit. But his luck begins to change after he meets the young, charismatic Curtis. Gerry convinces his new lucky charm to hit the road with him, towards a legendary high stakes poker game in New Orleans. The highs and lows unveil the duo’s true characters and motivations, and an undeniable bond forms between them.

This is the film that created another A24 fan. This story is so good. Though it has an actor who I dislike very much that didn't even matter. Great movie that will keep the viewer on edge.

Boring and canned gambler movie. Also a few southern style blues songs doesn't represent the south. Poorly executed overall.

I watch it waiting to actually feel something other than boredom but it just didnt happen. I watch independent films all the time so I understand slower movies but this just wasnt right.
