Mohabbatein is a wonderful film. Every story from every character connects to each other, creating this incredibly realistic, almost God-written tale, allowing viewers to relate very personally. It was derived from the 1989 film Dead Poets Society, which has actually given the film quite a bit of unnecessary hate. Certain scenes in the film and the overall basic storyline did match up quite well to DPS, but having said that, Mohabbatein still has it's own unique flair. Mohabbatein doesn't "rip off" DPS.

A Mighty Battle between Love and Fear as a former student takes on his former teacher . Drawn towards the fateful battle , a few love stories also develop agaist the strings of tradition , discipline and honor. The Mammoth Performances by the lead actors , displaying the qualities opposite each other sealed the foundation of excellence for all time classic film. The debuts from the newcomers and the cameos from the supporting cast added more color to an extraordinary film. Simple dialogues versed with poetry and morals doesnot sink the flow of the movie as to emphasize the ongoing war between the hard tradition enshroudded in Fear and the carefee tidings of Love. A total must-see for the nostalgic movi-goers . Another True Gem Fom the Yash Chopra Production!

According to me, in this movie, the opinion of Amitabh Bachchan was right. Not of Shahrukh. Each student should concentrate on his/her studies till he/she completes it and should not do love in this period with any boy/girl.Means he/she should not focus on love till he/she completes his/her education. N dats why I have given this movie just single star rating.
