Co-starring Maggie Gyllenhaal, Rhys Ifans, and Oscar-winner Maggie Smith, Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang centers on a group of kids who are evacuated from the city to a farm during wartime. Emma Thompson also writes the screenplay.

Very funny. I like the connection between the families. I love the reunion between Isabell and the kids and the dad. The moment Uncle Phil sat on the burning stove. Classic. And the time the pigs did synchronized swimming. Even more classic.

I have this movie. Though, I enjoyed the first movie and it was terribly funny and morbid at times; I highly enjoyed the comedy and romance of this one more; and I usually don't like or care for sequels. And I like the reveal of the family connection in the end. Julia. T.
