How often does one get to watch a movie, that intertwines comedy and drama in a way - that, like an inversed Prism, it recombines all that is mundane and all that is jejune and all that is extraordinary and all that is quirky into a single mosaic. And that mosaic, is Alexander Payne's masterpiece Nebraska. Scandinavian-nish in look (ingenious idea to portray the movie sans the chrome); brilliant screenplay, and great acting by Bruce Dern and the cast. Reminded me of Bergman's Wild Strawberries.
