Industrious high school senior, Vee Delmonico (Emma Roberts), has had it with living life on the sidelines. When pressured by friends to join the popular online game Nerve, Vee decides to sign up for just one dare in what seems like harmless fun. But as she finds herself caught up in the thrill of the adrenaline-fueled competition, the game begins to take a sinister turn with increasingly dangerous acts, leading her into a high stakes finale that will determine her entire future.

If you like dare-devil style movies, this will satisfy. It has an 80's Tron vibe mixed with 90's high school party flick. I liked the incorporation of social media and technology elevating it to a modern, much more believable scenario. I gave this a high rating because I would have loved this as a teen. (Disregard all of the bizarre comments below ranting about homosexuality and Satan worship. They don't have relevance here.) I watched this free on Amazon Prime.

I went back and forth with my rating in my head but it won me over in the end.( not just literally) it has some predictable moments along the way, think they could have given some depth to the "Villian" in the movie.. I wouldnt recommend it for any awards or suggest anyone to buy it but good enough to rent if their are no immediate blockbusters to watch at the moment

This is a very fast paced and entertaining movie that was quite creative. I really liked the dares that the characters were forced to do and I thought they contributed to the story nicely. My big complaints are that I think that the movie would have benefited from an R rating, the dares were occasionally very unrealistic, and the ending was very cheap and felt lazy. I would rate this a 7.5 out of 10.
