Two astronauts (Dennis Quaid of THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, FREQUENCY, Ben Foster of 3:10 TO YUMA) awaken in a hyper-sleep chamber aboard a seemingly abandoned spacecraft. It's pitch-black, they are disoriented, and the only sound is a low rumble and creak from the belly of the ship. They can't remember anything: Who are they; what is their mission? As the two investigate their surroundings, they begin to uncover a terrifying reality. Slowly the spacecraft's shocking and deadly secrets are revealed, and the astronauts realize that the survival of mankind hinges on their actions.

I didn't like Sci-fi movies intill I watched Pandorum. Its dark and scary, very realistic. Its full of action, speical effects, and great acting. After watching the movie I had to check to see if the movie won any Oscars, but sadly critics disliked the movie. For the movie was "to dark". Well, the set was dark because the space ship's power was going out. This is not a movie for children and stupid people. I recomend to teens and young adults. The front cover may be a little misleeding. The movies not about people being tortured, infact it the cords going into the arms skin ceep the person alive. Rent this movie and injoy the magnifisent film that was made for you.

So I was browsing Netflix and happened upon Pandorum last night...I am so happy that I did. Pandorum is a severely underrated survival horror/sci-fi movie. It is tense, intelligent (for the most part), has great effects, acting, editing and an excellent, immersive and creepy set (a massive spaceship that holds 60K people). I had never heard of this film but I love Ben Foster so I gave it a chance. Trust me when I tell you to do the same & spend 2 hours watching this exciting, suspenseful, fun & scary film.

Superb journey off-world of Earth's decimation and eventuality. Though, action laden with blood, guts and gore. The sequel never surfaced due to the lack thereof to the storyline leads. Great performances by the actors cast in the roles but, seemingly endless possibilities for the reprisals. Special effects and directing are notable exceptional.
