When their ship crash-lands on a remote planet, the marooned passengers soon learn that escaped convict Riddick (Vin Diesel) isn't the only thing they have to fear. Really needs to be seen before the Riddick Saga. Pitch Black is what kicked Riddick off into the movie world. It's dark (pun intended), violent and even has moments of humour. One of those films that you've never heard of and see on sale and watch it and feel like you've been welcomed in to a cult classic members only club. I saw this when it first came out and have loved it ever since...not too keen on preceeding Riddick movies though.

Not to be confused with any of the other Riddick franchise movies. This is pure, dark, raw and amazing. A must, if you often dream of other dimensions and other planets & are not afraid to wake up screaming.

loved this movie in cinema, not like the other movies which were'n grrat. This one is really cool and a well directed Sci-Fi treat
