Set in 79 A.D., POMPEII tells the epic story of Milo, a slave turned invincible gladiator who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love Cassia, the beautiful daughter of a wealthy merchant who has been unwillingly betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator. As Mount Vesuvius erupts in a torrent of blazing lava, Milo must fight his way out of the arena in order to save his beloved as the once magnificent Pompeii crumbles around him.

Great story, great actors/actresses & tons of action! - what's not to like? - I'm not at all sure why some people in the movie-rating-scene don't like it because I thought it was truly worth the money! - it's not a perfect film but few really are. I would have loved blood, gore & some sex scenes but with its guidance rating, I never expected it to have this so was never disappointed that it didn't.

Bad CGI and you don't have a clue what happens at the end... Oh wait you do. If it had better CGI then I would give it a higher mark but there are so many things I find in a film CGI happens to be one of them and it was awful... My opinion you may have another and I respect that.

Julian Fellowes, creator of the highly unoriginal Downtrodden Abbey creates this, a complete work of fiction based on fact. If only he had kept to the facts instead of involving a tsunami which NEVER happened - based on fact!
