It took very long (1.5hrs) for them to become Power Rangers, which makes the time before that seems pointless. Only one battle and everything happened so quickly. Don't know how they won with the little experience they had fighting and controlling their machines when Zordon couldn't defeat Rita with all his experience. Very glad I only paid 99 cents.

*SPOILER ALERT* As a huge fan of the original series when I was a kid, I
was super pumped to see this in cinemas. Although I do enjoy this one for
the nostalgia alone, I was a little disappointed. It starts off great.
Great tone, cool character setups and the visuals are awesome. Then it goes
downhill. The Rangers not being able to morph til the very end was a let
down. The dialogue goes from cool to super cheesy. I expected a bit of
cheese but Bill Hader/Alpha's & Elizabeth Banks/Rita Repulsa's dialogue was
just plain lazy cheesiness. Bryan Cranston/Zordon's too. Goldar was such a
cool looking and fierce character in the series and here they made him
LAME! Then to top it off we are ROBBED of seeing an awesome
Megazord-combining sequence. What was with that?!?! The suits are cool but
you don't see much of them which is a waste of time. And that slap into
space was just DUMB!!! I really feel like they could've done so much better
than this. The trailer promised so much more (as they all do these days).
Fingers crossed for a better sequel!!!

Power rangers as a tv show built the story sensibly. They become power rangers, face off against adversaries, they get zoids and face off against more adversaries then they finally learn to combine them. The movie by contrast is basically them becoming power rangers and then over the course of a single, poorly choreographed, right-at-the-very-end fight they get zoids and combine them to beat an adversary that should have stomped them out while having a soda. Don't waste your money on this.... especially if you used to be a fan.
