Acerca de esta película

How far would you go to protect your family? Keller Dover (Hugh Jackman) is facing every parent's worst nightmare. His six-year old daughter, Anna, is missing, together with her young friend, Joy, and as minutes turn to hours, panic sets in. The only lead is a dilapidated RV that had earlier been parked on their street. Heading the investigation, Detective Loki (Jake Gyllenhaal) arrests its driver, Alex Jones, but a lack of evidence forces his release. As the police pursue multiple leads and pressure mounts, knowing his child's life is at stake the frantic Dover decides he has no choice but to take matters into his own hands. But just how far will this desperate father go to protect his family? 2013 Alcon Entertainment, LLC. All Rights Reserved.

Prisoners was a thrilling film that, for me, never lost its intrigue. I really felt like I was along for the ride, and I was always learning with the characters. The answers were revealed in a refreshing fashion as I, like Detective Loki, was piecing the truth together as fragments of evidence are uncovered. Though the film is long, it never outstayed its welcome, and it had me gripped through to the end. The acting was excellent from the entire cast, but Gyllenhaal and Jackman really stood out. Dark, stressful, and thoroughly enjoyable. I cannot recommend it enough.

I enjoyed the film overall however the tempo was a little slow and the main investigator seemed like he was only half baked. I found it a little strange that the storyline actually intertwined with other characters in the plot however little was mentioned about it.

A little uncomfortable to watch if you have young children, but it is a very well acted and thought out film. Some really great performances, especially hugh jackmann.
