Ricki es la líder de un grupo de música que se dedica a interpretar versiones de canciones de otros artistas, que buscando perseguir su sueño de ser una estrella de rock decidió abandonar a sus tres hijos y a su marido. Pero años después de dejar atrás a su familia tendrá que enfrentarse a la realidad cuando regrese para ayudar a su hija que está pasando por una mala situación.

Hey, its got Rick Springfield, Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline, and it starts with the music of Tom Petty, pretty much sealed the deal right there. A good movie of the awkwardness sometime of people and the choices we make. And I loved the music.

Wish I could've put 3.5. I liked the movie, interesting story and I LOVE Streep as much as the next person. I really wanted to watch this movie because of the type of character she was playing. She was amazing as always. I feel like this movie was more of a fun "gig" for her and her family to get into. All in all, I enjoyed it, but it's not one of those movies you watch more than once.

I follow alot of Meryl Streep's movies, it seems she is unique from a lot of the other great actresses. This movie is filled with great songs, funny moment heart felt moments. it has soon become one of my favs, And i even got the soundtrack, if your a music lover of the 80s and 90s you will like this movie,
