Riddick is back to his gore filled gratuitous over the top best in this new movie. No dumbed down family friendly stuff this time. Just Riddick vs new tougher mercs on a very unfriendly alien planet. Survival vs the usual tough over the top odds. Very enjoyable.

It was an ok movie by itself and worth a watch as light entertainment but I just felt like they were to create a cheap copy of the original. The end really ruined it for me when his captors suddenly became his friends for no reason at all.

The film is slow, more time spent on effects. One good thing is the dog. I like Vin, have watched and liked other 2 films so bought this, goes to show that the actor does not always make the film good. This should have been so much better.
