Many people say that this film is sad, but it is honestly kind of fun. Yes, there are it's sad moments, but the rest of the film is just a fun and cute story. I think people are over-exagerating over this one. It is still a great film, and one of my favorite anime movies.

EXTREMELY sad but i keep coming back to it because it's so captivating. it's beautiful, heartfelt, and i put it on par with Kimi no na wa (your name) and tenki no ko (weathering with you.)

It was was at times. But rather a hopeful movie! I recommend it.
