This movie is very violent. I'm going to spoil the plot.Tom Hanks is adopted by this guy who happens to be incharge of the irish mafia or what not in america. That's only the backstory. The movie only shows him as an adult. He works for his father as one of his henchman with his fathers real biological son, who happens to be a jealous nutcase. He screws up by killing somebody for no reason infront of tom hanks' son who wasn't suppose to be where he was but because he was where he was he saw the murder. Well this makes the irish mafia father guy angry that his son killed the guy for no reason. Now for some bizzare reason this compels his biological son to ponder and go, " hmmm now what did i do wrong? eh nothing, this is all tom hanks' fault because i am jealous". He sets him up to deliver a message to one of the mafias business they lent to, telling them that if they kill tom hanks, all they're debts will be forgiven. Naturally, tom hanks doesn't die. However the jealous son has another card up his sleeve. He kills tom hanks' wife and child. But why? just cause. Tom hanks still has one of his sons (he only has two,and no other kids) and together they get revenge through bloodshed

This is a great movie with fantastic acting; however, it's not the standard boiler plate action flick. This movie has a story line that builds its characters. It's not Die Hard, it's more like the Godfather from the view of taking its time to roll out the story (for some that's slow) with moments of intense violence.
