Two of the most popular stars in movie history are brought together for the first time in Rooster Cogburn, the adventure-filled follow-up to True Grit. The legendary John Wayne reprises his role of the eye-patched, whiskey-guzzling U.S. Deputy Marshal that won him an Academy Award. Katharine Hepburn joins him as Eula Goodnight, a missionary who pairs up with the grizzled gunfighter to avenge the death of her father. Miss the older weatern characters like John Wayne when men were strong and not feminized like in many of the newer movies.

What a great movie. Vintage John Wayne and this Katherine Hepburn last movie.
